Organizational Chart

EEC-Nepal works on encompassing European nations’ representative, bilateral chamber, European Nations’ donor agencies and government bodies into their membership base. Including all these nations will help the chamber in various lobbying activities, joint venture activities, funding, event organization, business delegation trips to Europe etc.

Thus, the following organizational structure is adopted by EEC-Nepal.

1. General Member consisting of members of the business community. These members have direct voting rights on electing the Executive Committee

2. Chamber Advisory Group / Bi-Lateral Chamber Committee

a. European Bi-lateral Chambers / Commodity Associations represented by one of its office bearers.

b. The function of this group shall be Advisory. The group shall be represented by one of its members appointed as the Advisory Chairman.

3. Honorary Advisory Group / International Committee

a. Embassies of the European nations represented by one of its resident delegate.

b. Funding / Donor Agencies of European nations based in Nepal represented by a resident delegate.

c. Present / Former Ambassadors of Nepal to European nations.

d. The function of this group shall be Advisory. The group shall be represented by one of its members appointed as the Advisory Chairman.

4. Legal Advisor

Senior Legal Advisor will be retained to advise the Executive Committee on all pertaining socio-economic matters and other related legal issues.

5. Office Bearers

a) President

b) Four Vice Presidents

c) Secretary General

d) Treasurer

e) Chief Executive (no voting rights)

6.Executive Committee

The Executive Body shall be responsible in electing the Office Bearers of the chamber. Namely:

1. President

2. Vice President – Tourism & Hospitality

3. Vice President –Industry & Environment

4. Vice President –Trade & Marketing

5. Vice President– Public Relations

6. Secretary General –Overall supervision of EEC-Nepal’s activities

7. Treasurer – Financial management of the Chamber

7.Commissioners and Working Committee

The President shall appoint commissioner not exceeding 12 for various working committee bodies. Two Commissioners will be working directly under each Vice-President / Secretary-General / Treasurer.
